Jason Cassell, Director of Bands

Mr. Cassell is the Director of Bands at Truman High School, where he has been teaching since
2001. He began his musical career in the 5th grade playing trumpet, though he eventually moved to percussion - the instrument
he played while he marched with the Truman TNT Marching Band. He went on to receive a Bachelor's in Music Education from
Wayne State University in 2001 and also a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in 2005. Mr. Cassell's students describe him as "..funny, caring, motivating, and inspirational.." and consider
